WELCOME

There are many RPGs out there who deal with the Marauders' school years but what of that final year of Voldemort's initial rise, the year when everything comes to be as destiny meant it to be for the Potters, the Longbottoms, and many others? Join us in that journey. The wizarding world is in turmoil and is full of fear as Voldemort rises quickly to power. Few are willing to stand in his way, but there are those brave few who fight, the Order of the Phoenix.

We are looking for talented writers who are looking for a place to call home. Play as a muggle, a wizard/witch, a Death Eater, an Order of the Phoenix member, or simply a student trying to enjoy summer break despite all the hardship. We welcome members to start their own sub-plots and make suggestions to improve the site. We are a democracy, not a dictatorship.

How can someone explain a death like the one she had seen today to people who had never seen it. How could she explain to anyone but Casey that she did not want to be alone after a night like this no matter what. Normally Tamora was so composed and so together that for someone like Casey, someone so dear to her, who's opinion meant so much to her to see her cry would be shattering. But after a day like this she didn't care. After the battle had finally reached her doorstep and she realized no one she loved was safe she had to see him, she needed to feel his arms around her. She needed someone who had seen and understood death as she had today. God, Casey had probably even seen worse in his line of work. Especially in times like these.

Even as the door opened Tamora could barely breathe because of her crying. She had made it to the door and that was all she could manage. She could not think of how to express what had happened. She could not think of how to say what she had seen. He had been killed right outside the hospital- she had seen the dark mark through the window. It had still been following the remains of his body when they had carried them in. She couldn't bare to say all that, she could barely think it willingly thought the image was stuck in her head for what she was sure was a length of time that would span her entire life. For the first time she was feeling true pain, true worry, and true fear for herself, her friends, her family, and most importantly the man she loved. A man who was currently kneeling in front of her though she was in such a state of shock she physically could not acknowledge it.

Her body shook like that of a small child drenched and cold in a heavy rain. She had her face buried in her arms as they rested on her legs which were help close up to her chest. She sobbed uncontrollably and her body wretched and shook with each tear that fell from her eyes, and each gasp for breath that crossed her lips. She could not even look at him without seeing it all over again and she didn't want that. She would rather die than watch that again and in times such as these it was dangerous to make such a statement- almost suicidal. But Tamora could think of nothing else. Just the boy she had once known and the images of what became of him running through her head.

Things had begun to grow pleasant in his dream in Casey's eyes when suddenly the sound of the doorbell made him jerk away. He glanced over at the clock on the wall groggily and groaned. Was it really already that late? Inhaling, he sat up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes with a sigh. Who could it be? It definitely wasn't his mum. She would have rung the bell a hundred times by now. He stood after a few more moments and looked around for his tank top, which he found and pulled on whilst walking towards the door. He first peered through the peep hole, but upon seeing no sign of human life on the other side, he walked over towards the window and pulled back the curtain, spotting Tamora sitting on the ground. Well, that was odd. Why didn't she use her key to get in? It wasn't like she had to worry about seeing him wandering around his apartment in the nude if she didn't let him know she was coming in.

But then he realized her shoulders were shaking and her face was down. This wasn't just a lazy "I don't know if I wanted to come in yet" thing. She was crying. She was crying, but why? After a few moments of pensive staring, he let the curtain drop and took a few steps towards the door, his hand reaching out for the doorknob and, though anti-climactic, rested it there, staring at his hand on the knob. Would Tamora be mad at him if he answered it right now? Would she want him to let her cry and pretend he hadn't seen so she could retain some dignity? or would she want him to answer it and sweep her up in his arms and hold her while she cried? All he knew was that he was concerned for her. After all, it took quite a bit to get Tamora to cry, but given her field of work, she had to deal with quite a bit all the time, especially with times the way they were. It was either something at work or she had decided she couldn't put up with worrying about him and was going to break up with him, but she wouldn't just break up with him out of the blue, so it had to be work.

Taking a deep breath and letting it out, he unlocked the deadbolt and opened the door. "Tamora?" he said, looking down at her a moment before deciding to step around her and squatting in front of her. "Tamora, what's wrong?" he asked, his brows furrowed in concern as his blue eyes looked at her intensely.

During her seventh year at school, when Lily and Alice and Frank and Casey were all out in the dangerous world while she was protected within the walls of Hogwarts, Tamora had sworn to herself that she was going to do something useful. She had bumped up her grades that year and been top in potions and charms and near to the top in defense against the dark arts. Transfiguration was by far her worst subject, but as she still got almost the top marks in that as well such a thing meant very little. For two years she had worked now to make sure that if anyone she loved or cared for got hurt she could help them, she could do something useful and rescue them. For two years she had worked long shifts and had sleepless nights of call duty. She had seen so much. She had seen so much pain and suffering. She had seen more than anyone should working in St. Mungo's. Sometimes it got to her. Anymore she was just numb, but there was something different today.

Before it was people she didn't know. Before it was people she hadn't been close to. She had no idea what she would ever do if she found someone she knew on her table. She didn't know how she would react. Nor had it ever occurred to her that when it came to those people she might not be able to help them. Dead cases had come in before of course. Dead cases, gruesome cases, cases that were so horrible people in her healing class had dropped five minutes after seeing them. But not like this, never like this.

It had been a Hufflepuff. She had flown with him on the team. She had studied with him quite a bit. He had a little crush on her during fourth year. She had even thought about going out with him for a bit. If she had said yes....if they were still together....would she have been dead too? Would they have gotten her. She hadn't even seen his face. Just....bits. They had to test the bits. She had been upset by it before, when they had just been carnage but then there was the face and before they could even try to find who it was she had blurted it out: Benji Fenwick. They had let her go, shaking, crying silently five minutes later.

She had cleaned up and wandered out like someone under a badly done confundus charm. She had gotten on the tube and gotten off at the park. One look at the statue and she could only see Fenwick's face. She had to walk and wander aimlessly but all she could do was cry silently with her hands in her pockets. She couldn't tell if she was angry at herself for maybe blowing it so close to her graduation over someone she barely had a care for, or if she just was upset because it never had touched her before. Really touched her that is and now it had.

Somehow, out of breath, fightened and puffy eyed she had ended up in front of the door. Somehow she had forgotten she had a key and just stood staring at it for a long time. Barely able to do anything but swallow. She stared up at the number, and down onto the ground before shakily putting her back against the wall and sliding down, sobbing quietly not even bothering to note the cheerful ringing of the door bell as her elbow hit it on her path downward against the wall. She hadn't done anything. She couldn't have done anything. She had worked to save people like him and she hadn't been able to. It just wasn't fair. It just didn't make sense. Nothing did.

Wednesday, 10 June 1981
2:30 p.m.

Today was one of Casey's days off for a change, and he had decided to lay low, hoping his family--namely his mother--would forget he was off, but that was asking a lot considering that his family worked in the same place as he did. It was frustrating sometimes to find his mother on his doorstep and to hear his conscious scolding him if he was even tempted to pretend to have been asleep and not answer and use that as his excuse should he ever be asked about it. This was why, however, Tamora was the only one to have a key to his place. This and the fact that he trusted her not to spontaneously burst in while he was gone with frilly, girly things and the fact that hers was the only company he rarely got and therefore wanted whenever he could have it. Besides, one of these days, he kind of hoped he'd walk in on her leaning over the oven. Given that the tiny kitchen was right in front of the front door, he was bound to get some sort of view. So far no such luck, however.

Today had been fairly uneventful in either spectrum when it came to visitors. In fact, the only time he had seen his family or other people was when he had gone into the office to get his paycheck and then had headed to Gringott's to deposit it before picking up something to eat to take home with him for lunch. After eating, he had kicked back on his hand-me-down couch and turned on the wireless to listen to the news for today and then some music. Somewhere along the line, he'd fallen asleep, and here he was an hour later still out cold. He was so out of it, in fact, that he wasn't hearing the knocking on the door or the bell ringing.

((Blah, not my best, but I was at the lake all day, and I'm tired...))

It's a wreck of hormones down at
Hogwarts School for Witchcraf and Wizardy.
With the kids of the Golden Trio are currently attending,
who wouldn't think of nothing but chaos?

i'll just try to get up , and i'm sorry , this wasn't easy

It's 2008, with electronics and free porn everywhere,
why wouldn't the kids at Hogwarts get in a bit of trouble?
Condoms, birth control, sex toys, and magical spells,
it's just screaming for crazy things to happen.

when i asked you, believe me , you never let go

It's the summer of '77, and school is out. In the wizarding world, safety precautions are the newest fad. As you-know-who's displays reach new highs in Diagon Alley and other well-known places, students try to escape all that with summer parties with friends on the beach or trips to the museum. The muggle world remains relatively untouched, but all the same, the beginning of the schoolyear and the safety it brings with it couldn't come sooner for some students.

Offering:

+Friendly staff and members
+Plenty of canon positions
+Plenty of opportunities to get involved with sub-plots, etc.
+We welcome any regardless of role-play level who are willing to improve,
but we are primarily intermediate+

The Dark Lord is well on his way to power and at large; the Wizarding world is on high alert. The streets of Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade are barren and rarely travelled except when needs be and in large groups. Passwords, as recommended by the Ministry, are used by families to ensure it truly is their loved one wanting to come through the door and not some fake. General paranoia blankets the community.

Contrarily, the muggle world, bar those witches and wizards who live there, is safe as ever. The crime rate is as much as usual, and the police are doing their job. However, how long is this period of peace to last? With great power comes great confidence and responsibility, and it is needless to say the Dark Lord has thus far abused it. What's truly to keep him from invading the muggle world when those in the Ministry quiver at his name?

---

The last weeks of summer are quickly approaching, and most students are ready to return to the school where they know it's safe. He-who-must-not-be-named has never come near, so why should they fear? However, fear seems to be abandoned as they party at beaches or each other's summer homes. For the moment it's as though you-know-who does not exist.

Nevertheless, he does, and he is surely plotting something new as attacks by the Death Eaters on wizarding villages have slowed to a rare trickle, creating a slight sense of security in the hearts of the people yet at the same time a deep feeling of dread.

Alas, there's nothing one can do to stop the threat unless he chooses to overcome fear and risk his life for the good of the people. Albus Dumbledore strives to do this. While the aurors at the Ministry do what little they dare, he and a few others have begun the Order of the Phoenix, a secret organization set on thwarting Voldemort and putting a stop to this madness, but will they be enough?

Information

-We are a Marauders Era site set during the year 1981, the year that the Potters are killed and Longbottoms tortured.

-We have a 100-word posting minimum, which will be enforced, as it's really not much.

-Generally speaking, we are going to be PG-13.

-Members' opinions are greatly valued and encouraged and are put up for consideration.

General

1. Admins and other members should be respected. Otherwise, we're going to have a little talk.
2. Prove you're smart. Use polite words instead of cursing every other. It's not pretty to see.
3. Read the rules and other must reads before joining. It's pretty obvious when you haven't.
4. Post your character sheet within a week, even if it's a WIP. Show you mean business.
5. If you post before your sheet is accepted, your posts will disappear.
6. You may have as many characters as you like so long as you can handle them.
7. Canon characters? Two max, if you're going to play them. Any more will limit others.
8. If you don't play a character for a month, you'll be pm'd. Two months, the character's gone.
9. If you're going to be absent for more than two days, leave an away message.
10. Unexcused inactivity for over a month will result in deletion.
11. Harassment of any kind towards another member is intolerable. Let me know.

Signatures

1. The signatures may be 550px by 200px max. This board is only 700px wide.
2. Your signature may not contain nudity or other offensive material.
3. Signatures may not contain anime. It stands out when there are a million and one humans and suddenly a drawing and ruins the feel.
4. If removed, fix to fit into the guidelines an admin has left in place of the signature.
5. Replacing a removed signature without any change is a big no-no. You'll get a warning.

In Character

1. Posts should contain good grammar and proper spelling. Review your homonyms!
2. The thesaurus is a great tool. It and a dictionary can be found here.
3. Posts should be at least 100 words. It isn't much. You can do it!
4. A character's not going to like everyone other character. That should go without saying.
5. Let's not be noobs. The goal's not to hook up with someone as soon as possible.
6. Powerplaying/godmoding. Never are they allowed unless you want to be off this site. The only exception is if it's unavoidable and you have cleared the other character's actions with his roleplayer.
Character Deaths

This is one of those things where I'm iffy. Should it be allowed or should it not be allowed that someone can kill off another person's character? This is one of those things that could be abused if I allow it and abused if I don't. Obviously a person can choose to have his character killed off on his own and ask someone else to do it. That's not what I'm talking about.

I am going to say for now that you must come to me if you want to kill off another person's character. I will allow if the following criteria are met:
-You've asked the other person and he said no. Provide me proof.
-Link to the thread to show it wouldn't make sense for the character to live.
-The situation that has provided itself is not something that can be escaped with the person alive.
-If it's beneficial to the plot, make your case.
